Lewis, a licensed acupuncturist and herbalist, believes infertile couples should turn to Chinese medicine as an alternative to what she considers painful, invasive and time-consuming Western treatments. She first explains, "Traditional Chinese medicine holds that a woman's body must be gently nourished and encouraged to bear fruit.... I have found that most hormonal imbalances (which contribute to 40 percent of documented cases of infertility, yet are considered untreatable by conventional Western medicine) respond to Eastern methods of treatment." In Lewis's experience, women who have undergone three to six months of the dietary changes, herbs and acupuncture treatments become pregnant with no further effort. Lewis intersperses her somewhat technical examination of the program with anecdotes about her patients, weaving in discussions on diet, herbal supplements, acupuncture, older women and problems related to infertility. Lewis writes well and simplifies many complex concepts, such as the theory that there are four vital substances in the body (Yin, Yang, Qi and Blood), and that they're likely to be suffering from imbalance caused by energy excess, deficiency or stagnation. However, she trusts that her view is the solution for all infertile couples. Highly recommended, pregnant within 5 months!

Three years of undiagnosed infertility with 2 early miscarriages including 2 failed clomid cycles and 2 failed hcg rounds (causing uterine polyps I had to have surgically removed), I purchased this book as a last hope at the end of June 2015. By mid-July I started weekly acupuncture, mediterranean diet, and Chinese herbs (prescribed by acupuncturist). Mid November we were pregnant, with TWINS and the pregnancies stuck! :) The twins part is probably due to me taking Vitex and Maca root (not prescribed by acupuncturist). Never thought we could have one, so two was amazing! I also did a fertility promoting mix of essential oils in my diffuser every night before bed and drank Traditionals Medicine Healthy Cycle tea 3 times daily. I 100% believe that I would still be hopelessly trying if I wouldn't have purchased this book. It gave me hope and it gave me the tools to get my uterus healthy enough to finally implant and maintain not one, but two pregnancies. Please try this method before you put your body through all the harsh chemicals the doctors will push. They want to skip the problem to get to a quick solution, but at the expense of your health. This method works out the problem (mine being kidney deficiency), so that your body gets itself to the solution (healthy habitable uterus). I wish everyone luck and baby dust!

Great book and service. I began showing symptoms of hormone regulation within 4 days of starting the recommended diet, lifestyle and herbs for my particular issue. It will clearly take a bit longer to see grater results, but a good start.

Thankful for my Day

Now all of this has me thinking of how we accept happiness into our lives. I feel we need to recognize the everyday joys and take our pleasure from them. Be it the thump of the kittens playing at my feet right now. Or the phone call from my grandson when he had his mom's cell. I have notes up all over with quotes to remind me of the joy in my life. Many people have this sort of thing on their facebook page or computer monitor. Is there every anyone you wish you could remind how happy life really is? Well you could help out by sharing 'Happiness Quotations' with them. I am so glad to have the reminders that we can control our own happiness by accepting it into our lives. Erica Nelson (the author for Happiness Quotations) has 5 steps to help us do just that.

Step 1: Remember your strengths. Get back in touch with your gifts. You have forgotten what is amazing about you. Begin to remember these things.
Step 2: Awe
Step 3: Forgive
Step 4: Connect to source energy or divine guidance

Love Erica's new book. As soon as I opened it I read the first quotation and then the one that corresponds with my age, not telling (!) I'm keeping this near, just to remind myself. Life is a little difficult at times and we all need Happiness Quotations!

Much better than tv

I have read only the first book and seen some of the Tv series. In my opinion the Knowland retribution book is head and shoulders above the TV show. In the book he action and events have a good tight rythm, yet the author at the same time manages to not give up on very good characterizations, which, if you are so inclined, really add layers of subtlety and depth to a book that is just as good read 'only on the surface"And the plot is good .
The Tv series does not even begin to have that kind of calibre in my opinion
I am truly hoping the author has recuperated sufficiently from his medical ordeal to resume writing this series and give us more writing of this quality.
Oh, any other kind of series from him would be good too. He writes with such a sure touch and maturity I'll ready anything else he chooses to create. Pls Mr Greener, keep your books coming!

Great read. Author - Write more please

I fell in love with the TV series The Locater and had to have the books. They were hard to find but well worth the search. The protagonist is not quite as pretty as the actor but the books move right along and are very well written.

I only wish the author would put out more.

Different than the TV series, but more 'authentic' (as it were).

One small nitpick: Given that this is a reissue (to take advantage of the free publicity/awareness garnered by the TV series), spelling errors should have been fixed: On page 361, "bare" should be "bear".

Buy this. Read it. Enjoy.

Eden Lost possesses the reader's attention!

Reading the Hunter Wars series would be a great background for Eden Lost but is not necessary. Eden Lost can definitely stand on its own. The story has enough depth as well as new villains and of course the familiar ones! I would be remiss to not mention that it was great "hanging out" with Gears, Pax, TL and Ip! Tanner is continuing to show the breadth of his brilliance with Eden Lost and The Locke Files. Keep up the great work, truly fantastic entertainment fun!

The Eden Lost series-book 1) Hidden Evil. F/u to the Hunter Wars series.
Really great series! This series takes off directly following the last successful battle between the humans, & the four Horsemen (ip, Gears, Pax & TL) against the devil, Ruler. 4 baby horsemen were born into the world to take their adult Horsemen's places; theyre being taken care of by mom & pop, & Angel & Ted on the farm. Now, beginning with this book, Ip awakens them saying the babies are in danger, and they literally crawl from their graves 5 years after that last battle. Now Ruler is back (actually he never went away! Whoops! Bad mistake by the Horsemen!) and Ruler has a different game this time: he stays hidden, and has humans doing his dirty work of their own free will. He's putting humans against humans. Even now, humans are not satisfied (after that huge battle, earth changed and became Eden--a perfect place to live. It even has a Lake of Life for healing people. This is where the great battle took place at the end of book 4, where so many humans sacrificed their lives for others. But at least the Hunters are fine, now! Or are they??
Same players, they may have changed a bit, but most are there.

Love this series and the characters. I wish this author would get a different editor. This book and book 2 had lots of errors in it just like the previous Hunter War series. (It was something like 50 to 60 errors in each book. A lot!!) They're minor mistakes, usually a simple missing word, i.e., a, to the, on, etc. its not that the errors are catastrophic or anything, it's just really annoying!!! And it looks bad for the author and his ratings and reviews will suffer for such trivial mistakes. But that almost makes it worse! They're much too easy to spot and much too easy to correct for such mistakes to be missed and/or tolerated. Sorry! It's just a darn shame his ratings and reviews will suffer for such a thing. :( However, those types of reviews would be truthful and accurate (at least about the editing).

The Battles Not Over For The Boys, Imp and BD

Eden Lost picks up 5 years after the ultimate battle of good v. evil, specifically the Devil(known as Ruler in this tale). The Boys are back with Imp and BD, but this serial lacks the intensity of episodes past. Maybe it's the fact man has become complacent in Eden, or the lack of Super-Hunters and Demons, but this story starts slow and takes a while to get up to speed. Don't get me wrong--I'm glad the Boys are back, but they seem lost and without purpose till midway through this installment.

Though touted as a stand-alone, reading The Hunter Wars before this book would help the reader to understand each character's profile, background and place in the story-line.
